Before Mina’s Kitchen & Bar served Stone Mountain, its table began in Liberia. Whilemina Bestman learned cooking through family—knowledge carried in memory, repetition, and the instinct to feed people generously.

After coming to the United States, that inheritance took public form as Mina’s Place in the early 1990s. Over time, the restaurant grew with the communities around it, bringing West African and Caribbean cooking to Georgia.

Today, the idea remains direct: food with roots, hospitality without distance, and a table built for sharing.

The journey changed the address. The table kept its purpose.
